EmpowerYouthEssential Life Skills for Young People

Dr A McIlwraith

Educators and youth leaders, know that preparing young people for life goes far beyond academics. Yet many crucial topics that shape confidence, wellbeing, and everyday independence are rarely covered in schools or youth programmes. This is where the EmpowerYouth Programme steps in.

What EmpowerYouth Offers

Our workshops are designed to give students practical, age-appropriate skills that they can use immediately in their daily lives. We cover areas often left out of traditional curricula, such as:

  • Personal Grooming for Boys: Shaving, facial hair styling, hair removal, and confidence in appearance.

  • Practical Guidance for Girls: How to measure for bras, understand period products, and manage menstrual health with confidence.

  • Universal Life Skills: Shoe fitting, skincare, hair care, oral hygiene, and personal hygiene routines.

  • Health & Wellbeing: Mental health care, cancer awareness, and resilience strategies for young people navigating today’s pressures.

Why It Matters

Young people often rely on trial-and-error, peer pressure, or social media for advice on these sensitive topics. EmpowerYouth ensures they receive clear, supportive, and professional guidance, helping them:

  • Build confidence and independence

  • Develop healthy lifelong habits

  • Improve self-esteem and social presentation

  • Recognise early signs of health concerns

Designed for Schools & Youth Clubs

The workshops are interactive, inclusive, and flexible to fit into timetables or youth programme schedules. Whether as part of a wellbeing week, life skills curriculum, or standalone sessions, EmpowerYouth complements the work educators and leaders are already doing.

Take the Next Step

We are currently scheduling workshops for schools, ETBs, and youth clubs. If you are a curriculum coordinator, education planner, or youth leader interested in supporting your students with skills that truly last a lifetime, we would love to connect.

Contact us today to explore options or to book workshops for your school or youth programme.

Together, we can empower the next generation with the tools they need to thrive.
